The Ministry works to recognize, support, and rehabilitate freedom fighters, and to preserve the history and memorials of the Liberation War. Its activities include:-

✔Managing the consolidated list and records of freedom fighters and related services.
✔Housing and welfare initiatives for disadvantaged freedom fighters.
✔Preserving and developing Liberation War historical sites, monuments, and museums.
✔Coordinating activities related to the National Freedom Fighters Council and the Bangladesh Freedom Fighters Welfare Trust.
